Description: Description We are offering a long term, fully remote, contract employment opportunity for an experienced Attorney (with our client, a major information services provider). In this role, you will be focused on Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation areas, developing and editing online legal products for practitioners. You will be remotely working, providing practical guidance, creating forms, and conducting legal analysis on a variety of related topics.Project information:+ Start: JANUARY 2025+ Duration: 3 months with possibility of extension+ Pay: $42/hour+ Location: Remote+ Hours: 20-30 hours per weekResponsibilities: Develop and edit practical guidance articles on Employee Benefits topics Draft and amend Employee Benefits form documents as required Conduct legal research and further analysis on selected Employee Benefits and Labor & Employment topics Write and refine overviews, checklists, and other necessary content on Employee Benefits topics Evaluate and edit summaries of relevant treatises, cases, statutes, administrative materials, forms, and emerging issues articles for incorporation in the product Provide advice to clients on a wide variety of Employee Benefits topics including ERISA, defined benefit retirement plans, the Affordable Care Act, consumer health plans, and employee benefits issues in mergers and acquisitions Draft and review a variety of Employee Benefits agreements, provisions, and policies Handle executive compensation, and employment issues arising in conjunction with corporate transactions Collaborate on Labor & Employment law, traditional labor law, and/or cross-border/international employment issues as required. Requirements Possession of a Law Degree from an accredited law school. Demonstrated proficiency in conducting legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Lexis. Experience in materials handling and management Ability to review and interpret legal documents Expertise in legal provisions and their applications Strong editing and proofreading skills Knowledge of Employee Benefit Plan regulations Proficiency in drafting legal documents Excellent written communication skills Superior writing skills for legal documentation Familiarity with Employment Law and Labor Law Understanding of health plan regulations and administration Experience in Cobra Administration Proficiency in using LexisNexis for legal research Knowledge of Retirement Plan regulationsRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
